Islam is the majority religion in Egypt but few people know about the glorious history and culture of Islam and how it came to Egypt. Islam was the center of a great civilization when Europe lived in the Dark Ages. This civilization produced great philosophers and scientists. It also produced military leaders who conquered most of the old world – from Spain to China. The purpose of this exhibit is to educate everyone about this too often forgotten civilization.
